Letter from the Principal

Welcome to Springfield High School, Home of the Yellow Jackets! My name is Dr. Chris Tucker and it is my distinct pleasure and honor to serve as your executive principal. I am a native of Stearns, Kentucky but have resided in the middle Tennesse area since 2012. I am entering my second year here at Springfield and I couldn't be more excited about the upcoming school year! My previous administration experience includes serving as an assistant principal at Green Hill High School in Wilson County and White House Heritage High School here in Robertson County. Prior to entering administration, I taught special education and served as a school counselor at Station Camp High School in Sumner County.
Springfield High School is a special place full of history, pride, and tradition. Our faculty and staff are committed to serving the community and preparing students so that they may transform the world around them. Despite the lingering challenges that are present in a post-pandemic world, there is an incredibly resilient and optimistic spirit that is alive and well in the halls of Springfield High School.
My commitment to you is to continue to uphold the Black and Gold standard here at Springfield High School. We will have a continual focus on academic press, rigor, and interventions while providing the necessary layers of pastoral care to support students' overall growth and development. As we embark upon this school year together, please feel free to reach out to myself or a member of the SHS team with any questions you have.
